Building Magical Futures: HEAR at the American School Counselors Association Conference

“Building Magical Futures” was the theme at the American School Counselor Association conference in Orlando earlier this week. Since H.E.A.R. and Career Direction2, CTC’s other secondary-level educational resource (focused on career exploration), both promote healthy well-being in ways that build magical futures, it is no wonder than hundreds of school counselors and district and state leaders from across the country stopped by our booth and were excited to learn about these resources. Other than learning that our presentations are in line with their students’ needs and are offered at no cost to them, participants at the conference also enjoyed networking, knowledge-building, amazing keynote speakers (like First Lady Obama!) and free time at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort Hotel.

Ramona Walls, a school counselor from Wyoming, stopped by our booth to learn more about our future middle school anti-bullying presentation and walked away as the winner of our give-away – a new Kindle Fire!

Sonya Wright, former President of the Georgia chapter and Robin Zoom, the 2014 National School Counselor of the Year (also from Georgia) stopped by to discuss HEAR and Career Direction2.

Amy (Director of Educational Programs) had a fantastic seat during the First Lady’s speech, if she does say so herself!
