In Sonora, California, district officials just approved a nearly $150,000 purchase of a state-of-the-art surveillance system for Sonora Union High School. The surveillance system is intended to give school administrators the capability of knowing what is happening on their school campus. While the campus already has a handful of cameras, the new system will increase the school cameras by 59 and the system can record continuously and store the footage for up to two weeks.
